Living as Confident Christians Bishop Rose
In this seminar Bishop Rose will help us explore what it means to live as a confident Christian in today’s world. This practical workshop will encourage participants to deepen their faith, share it naturally, and respond to challenges with grace. Through reflection and discussion, discover everyday ways to follow Jesus with courage, hope, authenticity, and joyful purpose.

More Than a Programme: Starting Youth Ministry from Scratch
Brian Smith
Youth ministry starts with relationships, not programmes. Listening to young people, building trust, and creating safe spaces where they feel valued. It’s about developing vision, starting small and sustainable, recruiting, and training volunteers well, involving the whole church, and remaining flexible and prayerful as you help young people encounter Jesus.
Missional Trends – What is God doing in the UK and how do we join in? Phil Knox
We are living in spiritual springtime. But how are people coming to faith? And how might we make the most of the opportunities we have? This session particularly considers our response to the missional moment, joining the dots between compassion ministries and faith sharing and developing cultures of relational witness.
Session 2
Investing for the Kingdom Andy Twilley
Many Christians reach retirement years wondering what their role in God’s mission could now look like. This seminar will explore 5 areas of life which over 60’s can invest in for the work of the Kingdom. It will be challenging, practical, hopeful and encouraging, helping participants discern the exciting potential God has placed in their hands and how they might use it fruitfully in effective service leaving a lasting legacy.
Mission Amongst Young People Clare Hooper
What does mission amongst young people look like right now? This seminar will look at three opportunities in front of us: the reach school’s ministry gives churches into young people's everyday lives; the spiritual openness of young people- their curiosity, their acceptance of mystery and ritual; and how we equip young people themselves to reach their own mates, not by inviting them into our churches, but through honest conversations within their own peer groups. Come and explore what each of these might mean for how we shape mission with this generation.
Connecting Social Action & Faith Sharing Andy Frost
Many local churches do incredible work supporting their communities - food banks, debt advice, parent and toddler groups… But is it appropriate to share Jesus in words at the same time? In this seminar we’ll explore the theology, the hesitations, the pitfalls and practical examples. You’ll leave with some next steps to love people holistically, sharing Jesus in word and action.
Entrepreneurial Mission Dave Steell“What if all you have, is all you need?”
We can often spend a lot of time asking God for more, but what if all we need, to do the work that God is asking us to do, is already present in our people, our buildings and in our unique positions? Using some real examples from life at One Church and asking some provocative questions, we’ll consider how more courageous, entrepreneurial approaches to using the gifts we already have, might just unlock some exciting ways forward for our church communities.
