SEBA Leaders' and Ministers' Conference 

Dates for 2027: Tues 23 - Thurs 25 February
Venue: Hydro Hotel, Eastbourne

Once again, we return to Hydro Hotel for our conference in February 2027 which is open to all church leaders, ministers and spouses. We have learnt many things from our first year at Hydro and have implemented a number of changes to improve the way we use the hotel for our conference. Our time together will include times of worship, learning and focus groups with plenty of time for catching up with friends and making new ones. We are developing the event over the coming months so feel free to contact us if you feel there is something you would like included in the programme.

Speakers

Our main speaker will be Sharon Prior. 
Sharon became a Christian by reading a Gideon New Testament whilst she was training to be a medical microbiologist in the NHS. After qualifying she went to Bible College, and has worked for Crusaders, Scripture Union and PACE, a Christian Schools work charity. She spent over 20 years as a Senior Lecturer, Tutor and Additional Needs Specialist at Moorlands College, where she gained an MTh in Applied Theology at Spurgeon’s College.
 
In 2010 she moved to Sheffield and became the part time Minister at Beauchief Baptist Church before moving back to the New Forest and becoming the part time Minister at Iford Baptist church, where she is still on the leadership team.
 
She is passionate about seeing young people coming to know Jesus and maturing as Christians, as well as developing leaders for the mission of God. In her spare time, she leads evangelistic young people’s camps during the summer, enjoys reading, walking on the beach and cooking.

Worship

Our main worship leader will be confirmed shortly, along with others who will lead our sessions.

Focus Groups

We are currently planning the subjects and will update you soon.

Communion

Again, we will share communion together and make space to pray for one another.

Hydro Hotel is an elegant hotel by the sea. Situated 120 feet above sea level, it boasts some of the finest sea views in Eastbourne. From its cliff top location, it provides superb views of the English Channel, Beachy Head, the Sussex coastline and the South Downs National Park.
