Association NAM & RLM Day
Thursday 10 November 2026, 9.30am-3pm
(refreshments from 9am)
at Horley Baptist Church (289 Court Lodge Road, HORLEY, RH6 8RG)
Do we really believe in congregationalism? The Priesthood and Prophethood of all-believers and the discerning and serving the will of Christ together’ . This day will look at one of the foundational principles of the Baptist movement of being congregational. The value of being a member lead community has always been a key part of how we function bringing with it both joys and challenges. In a world of fast change and demand for fast decisions, is it realistic, practical, or possible to be congregational today? What might a truly congregational church look like today? We will consider these questions in the context of worship, leadership, the prophetic, governance, the church meeting, pastoral care and the equipping of all-member ministry and mission.
This NAM & RLM day will by led by SEBA Team Leader, Joth Hunt.
Please also remember that your attendance at this day is part of your SEBA NAM / RLM agreement*. Your NAM / RLM period can be extended if such days as these are not attended. We appreciate that some of you may well have completed your NAM / RLM studies by this date, but if you haven’t had your final SEBA NAM / RLM Interview your attendance is still required.
*legitimate reasons for not being present are accepted.
