Since midnight last night...

Since midnight last night, Christian communities and churches have been meeting across the world to worship our Father God. Their voices have been joined in a constant round of Praise to Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Kiribati and Fiji Christian voices were the first to greet the new Sabbath day and the constant voice of prayer and praise will continue until the last voices of the Sabbath are raised in Samoa, Alaska and Honolulu.

Praises and prayers will rise in Spanish, Italian, German, French and English; Mandarin, Guajarati, Hindustani and Arabic, Russian, Farsi, Swahili, Tamil, Afrikaans and Japanese to name but a few.

Our Father God will be praised in cathedrals, schools, ancient churches, modern churches, mud huts, pubs, meeting houses, chapels and homes; in large groups, small groups without fear and hidden away in secret.

We need to remind ourselves that God isn’t British, He isn’t male or female or even European, He is not Anglican, Catholic or Baptist; He is Almighty God and worthy of all our praise.

He does not want us to worship in mediocrity or out of habit, He desires for us to come humbly and in expectancy that today in this hour we will meet with Him and He will meet with us. Hallelujah!
