Church Project of the Year

Each year SEBA appoints a Church Project of the Year, from amongst the applications received, to be commended to the churches of the Association for support, in prayer and in donations, for the work project they are undertaking.

The project may be a church building for a newly planted church,  it may be a new building for a church that has outgrown it's original venue; what it hasn't been yet, but we'd like to see, is a mission project that would benefit from the support.

In September each year we notify the churches that the application process is open - and invite churches to apply. Once the application process has closed, our Finance Committee look at all the applications and their recommendation is taken to the SEBA Executive to make a decision.

Then, at the beginning of the year, we send out their literature on the project to all the SEBA Churches, along with a commendation from the SEBA Team, and promote the project throughout the year, at our Ministers' Conference in February and our Celebration/s in the Autumn - any updates will appear on here or through the weekly emailing.

SEBA Church Project of the Year 2018 -

Sheddingdean Baptist Church (Burgess Hill)

SEBA Church project of the Year 2018 - 24 Hour Prayer Space:

Sheddingdean Community Centre (Maple Drive, BURGESS HILL, RH15 8UA)
Friday 5 October, starting at 7.00pm, to Saturday 6 October at 7.00pm

As the current SEBA church project of the year, Instead of holding our annual gift day for the Cornerstone Project we want to hold a 24 hour prayer space in order to give thanks to God for the blessings we have already received and to pray for God’s guidance on the next phase.

It is now our hope and prayer that we might be in a position to start building during 2019. The Prayer Space will be held in the Sheddingdean Community Centre, Burgess Hill, from Friday 5th October starting at 7.00pm with a shared prayer gathering and ending on Saturday 6th October at 7.00pm. The prayer space will focus on the three elements of the Cornerstone vision, Church, Community and Creation but also recognising how they fit together.

We would welcome folk from SEBA churches dropping in to join us in praying for the Cornerstone.

Also a big thank you to those SEBA churches who have supported us with a financial gift, if your church hasn’t yet shown the YouTube video about the Cornerstone please do consider showing it and supporting us.
