Roger Barnett - Moderator

Roger has been moderator of the association since its inception in 2007 and chairs the meetings of the Executive which oversees the activities of the association, endeavouring to ensure that things run smoothly! Prior to that, he was Secretary of the North Downs Baptist Association (one of the three associations which amalgamated to form the South Eastern Baptist Association) for nearly ten years.

Born in Balham, south London, his family later moved and he became involved with the Boys’ Brigade at Merton Park Baptist Church, being baptised and becoming a member of the church. Roger is currently a member of Godalming Baptist Church, Surrey where he has been a deacon and was church secretary for fourteen years. He is also a member of the Baptist Union Council.
